Head of Catering/Chef – Full Time

The Old Forge Restaurant & Bar at Kenegie Manor is a traditional yet contemporary Cornish Restaurant and Bar with sit down or walk up service and has recently undergone a £70 000 refurbishment with a brand new commercial kitchen and bar utilising the latest technology.

A can do attitude and a customer first approach is at the heart of everything we do!

We are looking for the 2023 Season for a fun and experienced Head of Catering/Chef to assist senior management and develop and grow this part of business with a customer first approach.

The ideal candidate will be confident and competent to drive this target driven area of the business forward.

Reporting frequently to the senior management team, this exciting role includes but is not limited to the following :-

• Cooking and preparing fresh and excellent food from our menu
• Supervising the Old Forge Bar.
• Site Duty Management role on a rota basis.
• Menu development
• Food hygiene management and reporting.
• Staff recruitment, management and development.
• Stock ordering and stock control for the Old Forge Restaurant and Bar
• Developing a range of specials
• And many other interesting general duties.

This position may involve lone working and involves evening, weekend and bank holiday working.

This role would suit an an existing experienced driven chef with an absolute passion for delivering excellent food that is targeted to our market demographic and is looking to for a change, more responsibility and to develop their career in a fun, friendly and supportive environment
