The ultimate late-season getaway!

Nothing says ‘cosy’ quite like spending an evening at a proper Cornish pub on a cold winter’s night, does it? Pull up a chair or grab a table close to the fire and enjoy a drink or some hearty Cornish food in one of the many quaint pubs nearby. Whether you want something traditional or modern, there are plenty of pubs to choose from – and there’s a great collection close to our holiday park. Some of our favourites include.

Constatine Bay

  • The Cadgwith Cove Inn: After a tough day exploring the Lizard Peninsula why not head to the stunning little fishing village of Cadgwith and have a pint or a tasty meal here?
  • The Coldstreamer in Gulval: It’s only a short walk from our holiday park, but this place is well worthy of inclusion on our list. A fantastic place for Sunday lunch, it enjoys a great setting overlooking the church
  • Pandora Inn, Mylor: Do you want sea views? A thatched roof? Great food and drink? Then you need to head to The Pandora. This pub is popular, and rightly so. With its own floating pontoon, you can eat outside and enjoy the winter sun or step into this traditional old building, which has been lovingly restored. One not to be missed!

Mature coupleDon’t forget your walking boots!

It’s time to blow away those cobwebs! Lace-up those walking boots, dust off that cagoule and explore the great outdoors! Cornwall is a fantastic destination for walkers, with the South West Coastal Path winding its way around the coast for hundreds of miles.

Based close to the south coast, Kenegie Manor is ideally located for you to pick up the coast path. Some of our favourite stretches include:

  • Marazion to Penzance: This 3-mile stretch takes in views of Cornwall’s most iconic landmark – St Michael’s Mount. Overlooking Mounts Bay you can walk this fairly easy route from Marazion into Penzance without getting out of breath!
  • Mullion Cover to Lizard Point: Mullion is a beautiful spot on the Lizard Peninsula, with some truly breathtaking views, only eclipsed by those at your destination, Lizard Point – the UK’s most southerly mainland point. While you’re here why not visit the famous lighthouse?
  • Sennen Cove to Land’s End: It’s only a short walk (1.2 miles) but well worth it. Sennen is a gorgeous little place and the walk around to Land’s End is what it’s all about (and getting a photo with that rather famous sign!). Here you can enjoy a spot of lunch and learn all about the history of this iconic destination.
