Bank Holiday Breaks in Cornwall

The Last Long Weekend Of Summer
This August Bank Holiday, from 24th August 2026

We all do it. Open the app, see a beach, think “we should really book something,” then close it again and carry on with the day. Sound familiar?

August Bank Holiday is the last long weekend of summer, the final proper chance to get away before routines kick back in and autumn starts creeping into the diary. So this year, let’s skip the scrolling and go straight to the strolling.

Kenegie Manor sits right in the heart of West Cornwall, with sandy beaches, coastal walks, and the tin mines all within easy reach — and a heated pool, bar, and full entertainment programme to come home to when you’ve had enough sun for one day.

From 24th August, breaks start from:

3 nights from £199 | 4 nights from £289 | 7 nights £599

Turn Scrolling Into Strolling

West Cornwall isn’t the kind of place you rush through — it’s the kind you wander. Just a short drive from the park, you can walk the causeway out to St Michael’s Mount at low tide, spend an afternoon getting pleasantly lost in the narrow streets of Mousehole, or follow the coast path out towards Porthcurno, where the water somehow looks more Mediterranean than Cornish.

None of it needs booking in advance. None of it needs a screen. Just good boots (or bare feet) and a bit of curiosity.

Turn Screen Time Into Sea Time

When the kids have had enough walking, West Cornwall’s beaches take over. Marazion sits just up the road with views straight out to St Michael’s Mount, while Praa Sands and Godrevy are both an easy trip if you fancy something further afield.

And if the British weather has other ideas (it happens), our own heated pool means sea time doesn’t have to wait for sunshine.

Great quiet getaway

We were very impressed with our stay not knowing what to expect booking last minute with Hoseasons. We had a really nice clean, spacious and comfortable cottage. Good wifi so we could watch films as a family at night. Our dog normally struggles with holiday accommodations but quickly settled into this one. The site itself was very clean and quiet. We felt relaxed at all times not witnessing any antisocial behaviors.

The staff were hardworking and friendly. The lifeguard and whoever else responsible kept the pool water temperature and quality tip top. My partner normally opts to not swim on holidays feeling the water is cold and not good but we were all really happy with the whole pool area. As well as the sauna that was always great temperature and clean. Booking was also made easy.

The location was beautiful with plenty of things to do with the kids and our pet. Not much to offer in terms of evening entertainment compared to other holiday camps but that’s what we wanted. A relaxing fun quiet getaway.. but they really made and effort for the kids at the Halloween party they put on. We didn’t want to come home! We will definitely consider returning. Hopefully see you again!
