Find your perfect break away...

Explore Cornwall this February half term with a stay at Kenegie Manor

Does Christmas seem like a long time ago? Are you in need of a little break away with the family? Why not treat yourself and the kids and book a break away to Cornwall this February Half Term with a stay at Kenegie Manor from just £109.

Why visit in February?

If you don’t mind swapping your shorts and flip flops for a thick coat and scarf then February is a great time to visit. It sometimes gets short shrift but it’s great for quiet breaks (yes, even during half term) and is ideal for those who want to save a few pounds on their break too, with some great deals to be had. At this time of year you can avoid the traffic and the congestion at the popular visitor attractions too.

Cornwall is a year-round destination so, whether you choose to come in February or August, you’ll find plenty to see and for all the family. From the Eden Project and Flambards Theme Park to The National Maritime Museum and Paradise Park, all the major attractions are close by and ready to welcome you…

If you want to blow away the cobwebs and feel the wind in your hair then West Cornwall is the place to be this February Half Term. Take a walk along the South West Coast Path and drink in some of the most stunning coastal scenery in the British Isles (The Lizard Peninsula is one of our favourite places for coastal walks). Or why not take a stroll on the sands of Sennen Cove? This long stretch of sand is a popular spot but has a mystery and a magic all of its own – and is a great spot for taking moody pictures of stormy seas on a winter’s day.

Away from the attractions and the destinations, there’s also a variety of top local events taking place in February. Here’s some of our highlights….

  • Science of The Sea at the National Maritime Museum: Experience amazing hands-on science shows with University of Exeter and Bristol’s Explorer Dome at The National Maritime Museum Cornwall in Falmouth this February half term.
  • St Ives Feast & Hurling: This historic event celebrates the anniversary of the consecration of the Parish Church of St Eia in 1434 AD and is a rare chance to watch the game of Hurling the Silver Ball, a centuries old form of rugby.
  • Paradise Park Little Pirates and Fairies Quiz: The quiz will run from 10th to 18th February and is very popular with children! It adds a little bit of magical fun. When your little ones have completed the quiz, they can claim their sweet treat – a choice of golden chocolate coins, the pinkest of fairy sweets or little lollipops to reward pirates and fairies!
