Some of our favourites include…
Royal Cornwall Show: No visit to Cornwall in early June is complete without a trip to the Royal Cornwall Show. Cornwall’s flagship event since 1793, the RCS gives a fantastic glimpse into Cornish life, with livestock judging, flowers, food, arts, crafts and hundreds of trade stands to visit.
Falmouth Sea Shanty Festival: Do you like your entertainment with a maritime theme? Do you love live music and singing? Then the Falmouth International Sea Shanty Festival is for you! This event is a great way to soak up the true atmosphere of Falmouth’s seafaring past with performances by dozens of groups from all the UK and beyond
The Golowan Festival: One of the biggest festivals in West Cornwall, the Golowan Festival in Penzance attracts big crowds in June! This is a community celebration of the traditional Feast of St. John and the festival has a packed programme of artists in celebration of music, performing arts & theatre
The Lafrowda Festival: Taking place in July, this is another popular event taking place nearby. This annual gathering celebrates community arts with twelve hours of free entertainment to suit every taste, with street performers, stalls, refreshments, bouncy castles and three spectacular processions.
August sees the return of the hugely popular Newlyn Fish Festival. Celebrating all things fishy, here you can satisfy your appetite with the best seafood you’re likely to find anywhere and help to raise money for the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.
In September why not head over to the north coast for the annual St Ives September Festival. The festival sees more than 300 events take place throughout the town. There’s two weeks of great music, exhibitions, walks, talks, workshops, films, comedy, theatre and plays.
