Easter Breaks In Cornwall

The place for egg-cellent Easter getaways and cracking adventures…

Easter. For many of us it conjures up memories of egg hunts, hopping bunnies…and kids high on sugar after eating a barrel load of chocolate. It’s that one time of year that it’s probably OK to indulge with a chocolate egg or two (or 10) and not feel too guilty afterwards…

But Easter is about more than just the chocolate. It’s also a great time of year to visit Cornwall, with so much to see and do! The county really starts to come alive over the Easter weeks and, with warming temperatures and longer days, it’s also ideal for those who love exploring!

Easter breaks in Cornwall – what is there to see and do?

The simple answer to this question is… a lot! Here at Kenegie Manor, we’re surrounded by spectacular coastal scenery (with some of the best beaches in the land right on our doorstep), picturesque destinations (we challenge anyone not to fall in love with places like Porthleven, Cadgwith, Sennen and Porthcurno) and top family attractions such as Flambards Theme Park, Paradise Park, Minack Theatre and the iconic St Michael’s Mount.

And, if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a fantastic line-up of top Easter-themed events taking place nearby, including:

  • Easter Fun at Eden, 6th – 25th April: Head to Eden during the Easter holidays for a fun-packed day out in Cornwall, at their farm-themed Easter event, including a giant scramble course and special chocolate treats.
  • Golden Easter Egg Challenge at Paradise Park, 6th – 22nd April: This Easter, Paradsise Park’s magnificent Golden Eagle ‘Talis’ is joining the ‘Eagles of Paradise’ flying display. To celebrate her and all things golden you need to seek out the golden egg then claim your mini chocolate egg reward.
  • Porthleven Food Festival, 26th – 28th April: The festival takes place in the picturesque harbour town of Porthleven. Expect all day cooking demos, food and craft stalls surrounding the harbour, music, dancing, performances, music, art and celebrity chefs cooking workshops.
  • Curious Easter Egg Hunt, St Michael’s Mount, 7th – 22nd April: Follow the trail around the harbour and village, and learn about the people who have visited, and the people that have called the Mount home, as you hunt for answers to receive a chocolate surprise.
  • Cornwall Spring Flower Show, 6th – 7th April: Named by The Sunday Telegraph as one of the best flower shows to visit in the UK, this celebration of Cornwall’s rich garden heritage takes place in the magnificent grounds of Boconnoc House, and features show gardens, trade stands and competitive classes.
